THE IMPACT OF PORNOGRAPHY IN YOUTH
Thesys: As more and more children are exposed not only soft-care pornography but also to explicit deviant sexual material, they are learning an extremly dangerous masseges from pornographes. Sex without responsibility is acceptable and desirable because pornography encourages sexual expression without responsibility, it endagers children health.
Argument 1: In study of convicted molesters, 77% of those who molested boys and 87% of those who molested girl's admitted to the habitual use of pornography in the commission of their crime besides stimulaty the perpetrator, pornography facilitates, child molestation in several ways. For example pedophiles use pornographic photos to demonstarate to their victims what they want them to do. They also use them to arouse a child or to lower a child's in habititions and communicate to the unsuspecting child that a particular sexual activity is onay "this person is enjoying it, so will you?"
Argument 2 : Sexual identity develops gradually the chilhood and adolescence. In fact, children generally do not have a natural sexual capacity until between the ages of ten and twelve. As they grew up children especially susceptible to influences affecting their development. Information about sex in most home and schools, comes, presumably. In age appropriate incremental stages based on what parents, educators, physicials and social scientists have learned about child development. But pornography short circuits and distorts. The normal pesonality development procces and supplies misinformation about a childs sexuality, sense on self, and body that leaves the child confused, changed, and damage.
Arguments 3: Rape is sometimes atributed to the increasing availability of pornography and sexual explicitness in public media. Although a rapist, like anyone else, might find some pornography stimulating it is not sexual arousal but the arousal of anger or fear tht leads to rape, banning it will not stop.
Arguments 4 :Objectivity now requires that an additional question be asued: "does pornography use and availability prevent or reduce sex crime?" this hypothesis seems to have been tested and substantiated, over prolonged periods in denmark, sweden, germany, now japan and USA.
Arguments 5 :Criminalizing or legalizing pornography should depend on whether it can be shown to be seriously harmful or not. Not whether it is found to be harmful or beneficial. If pornography cannot be shown to be seriously harmful, it should be legalized cemphasis in original.
Recommendation: Must of us caring, responsible want to instill in our children our personl values about relation ships, sex, intimacy, love, marriages of pornography. Unfortunately the powerful irresponsible massages of pornography may be educating our children on these very important life issues. Just as thirty second commercials can influence wether or not w choose one popular soft drink over another, exposure to pornography shapes our attitudes and values and often our behavior
